Things That Went Wrong

Do you know what today is?  4 months ago was our wedding day.  It was a perfect, blur of a day.

When people say to me:  "I have good news and bad news.  What do you want first?" I always say bad news because I like ending on a good note!  Because of that, I'm going to start with all of the things that went wrong at our wedding in hopes of giving you a laugh & making you want to come back for more.  :)  Writing about our wedding is just...so overwhelming, actually.  There are so many details that I was to capture.  It was the best day of my life, after all.  :)  BUT FIRST...

Things That Went Wrong

Two weeks before the wedding, my wedding dress did not fit.
The groom was incredibly late.  He should have been at the venue by 3, at the latest.  He didn't make it until around 4:45.
The flower girl cried for about 30 minutes & missed most of the pictures.
I cried {pretty hysterically} all day.
The musician was horrible.  He played guitar beautifully, his voice....not so much.
The DJ was horrible.
We forgot to take posed pictures of just the bride & groom.
My bustle broke during the reception.
The chicken tikka at the reception was gross.
Actually...most of the food was not very impressive.
We accidentally left the reception too early.
Mr. Robinson, distracted by his sobbing & whimpering new bride, forgot to tell his parents bye.
We forgot to put our luggage in the getaway car.

So, no...our wedding was not "perfect."  There were flaws, mistakes, and sometimes I made this face:

But, it was the best day of my life.  It was the prettiest I've ever looked & the most handsome my man has ever looked.  It was the most fun we've ever had.  We made the most perfect promises.  So, it was a perfect day to us and I hope you'll come back and read the other posts about our wedding as I finish them.

Happy 4 Months to us!  :)

This is hysterical! The most important thing is the marriage and it sounds like you have that down pat! Just out of curiousity, why was the hubs almost two hours late??

I love this. There are always some things that go wrong, but so many things that go right!

I love it! That's what real marriage is all about....not perfection, but sticking together through it all:) Many of the same things went wrong at our wedding too, so it's nice to know I'm not alone!

Haha! Great story. I would have killed Grahm if he showed up late. :)

Thanks for linking up!

I'm re-reading this post and I have found the we have many similar "oh no" moments.
My brother (a groomsman) was about an hour late to the venue, making pictures before the wedding a little rushed!
We also forgot to put our luggage in the getaway car (it was in my mom's and we ended up driving back to pick it up after we got to the hotel and realized it wasn't there!)
And, we only got 1, ONE, shot of the full bridal party!

So funny, and I'm glad that it was perfect for you guys, because ours was definitely perfect for us. (It just makes us laugh now)
