McCormick Red Velvet Cupcakes
This photograph is from my kitchen, as I'm sure you could have guessed. I know it's not glamorous or perfect, but this is life. My kitchen is not always photoshoot-ready! I felt like I should at least share a picture of my work since I am sharing the recipe. :) I made mini-cupcakes with some leftover batter I had. I tried to do a cupcake-topped-cupcake. It looks a little silly, but it's okay. :)
My husband loves red velvet cake. I really wanted to make him some red velvet cupcakes, but I was a bit nervous. Rumor has it, you see, that red velvet can be a little tricky to make. With the baking soda and vinegar reacting together, I've heard of people failing miserably at making this delicious cake. I decided to try it anyway, and BOY am I glad! This recipe does not call for vinegar, to my surprise! And so the baking soda does not have to react with anything, and the whole baking process was very smooth and uneventful! :) Well, other than the fact that this recipe produced absolutely perfect cupcakes.
So, here is a clickable link for you hungry devils. McCormick Red Velvet Cupcakes.

Weekend Plans ~ Making Marshmallows
Happy Friday! The work day is almost over (for me) and I am so excited about our Friday Night Plans!
My sister and her boyfriend will be joining us at the house!
Do you think we look alike? She's a little skinnier than me, but that's not relevant. :) This picture was taken at my very first bridal shower. My sister, also my maid of honor, was hard at work. :) She did such a great job with her role!
Anyway, they are coming over and she is bringing me some corn syrup. I will begin making homemade marshmallows for the first time ever! I'll be using a recipe from Sweetlaws.com and I hope for the best! If it all goes south, well...I have store-bought marshmallows as a back up. :)
When Mr. Robinson gets home, we will get started on building a fire! We will roast hot dogs and marshmallows and have a wonderful time! I am looking forward to it. I haven't seen my sister in three weeks! If I have to put up with her loser boyfriend to spend some time with her, so be it.
Tomorrow...I'll be baking the day away! Keep an eye out for some sweet recipes! I've got my fingers crossed that I'll have time to work in some crafts! I'd really love to post another full tutorial sometime soon, as it has been a while.
Here's to an amazing weekend! What are your plans?

Menu Planning Monday!
Well, it's Monday again whether we like it or not. I really had the most perfect weekend and I can't wait to give you more details & pictures than you can imagine, but that will have to wait until later. Meanwhile, making the best of a work week when you have SO much to do at home is tough. I'm not sure about you, but I have cleaning to do, clothes to wash, groceries to buy, crafts to complete, gifts to wrap, and I still have thank you notes to write from the wedding! And don't get me started on Christmas shopping! With so many tasks on my list, I have to take advantage of EVERY minute! :)
